Surgeries for Pets

We are proud to offer a complete range of surgical services in-house.

Surgery is not something the veterinarians at Cooper City Animal Clinic take lightly, and therefore is not something we would recommend unless necessary. As with all of our procedures and treatments, we’re happy to talk you through our recommendations, our reasoning behind them, and all possible options. Rest assured, all of our recommendations (whether surgical or not) are made with your pet’s best interest in mind!

Things we will discuss with you before surgery may include:

  • Age of your pet
  • Potential complications that may arise
  • Potential complications that may arise if surgery is not performed
  • Recovery time
  • Physical therapy/care by the owner post-op

Most pet surgeries are considered low-risk, but we will always discuss everything with you to make sure you are making as informed a decision as possible!

Some common surgical procedures include:

  • Intestinal obstruction from a foreign body
  • ACL damage or rupture
  • Abscess or lacerations of the skin
  • Bone fracture repairs
