Dr. Mendy has owned Cooper City Animal Clinic for 40+ years. He is ourfounding father of Cooper City Animal Clinic.

Dr. Sandrea has devoted his career to small animal care, with 27 years of experience in internal medicine, emergencies, surgeries, and specialized fields. Since 2012, he has shown interest in Veterinary Cardiology and since 2018, a small animal ultrasound specialist. His global experience in various environments and countries has granted him exceptional expertise in patient management. Dr. Sandrea has authored research papers in cardiology and ultrasound. He is also a dedicated educator, having served as an assistant professor of Physiology at the University of Zulia's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and as a lecturer and instructor in Veterinary Cardiology workshops.

Dr. Garcia graduated from University of Florida in 2004 and has beensaving lives ever since. Dr. Garcia was top of her class when she graduated andspecialized in equine patients. She treats all small animals, exotics, and farm animals.Dr. Garcia shares her home with three french bulldogs and a great dane amongstnumerous reptiles.

Dr. Comartin graduated from University of Florida’s veterinary school and has been practicing medicine ever since. She has worked all over South Florida and has been with Cooper City Animal Clinic for over 10 years! She has a special place in her heart for her feline and geriatric patients.

Dr. Rupp graduated from Ohio State University in 1999. From there he completed a one year internship in Avian and Exotic Medicine and Surgery at Ohio State University. Dr. Rupp has been practicing in South Florida since 2000 and treats all exotic animals except primates and fish. Some of Dr. Rupp's interests outside of work include Tae Kwon Do, Krav Maga, bike riding, computers and any outdoor activity. Dr. Rupp's family consists of his wife, Dr. Tacy Rupp, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVIM (Veterinary Cardiology) who also practices in South Florida, their son Colin, and their 16 animals; two Dachshunds named Twinkie and Pixie, a Shih Tzu named Momo, a Terrier Mix named Nancy, a Maltese named Huffle Puff and a Boxer named Tiffany. We have six cats named Mylo, Mombo, Cheeto, Midget, Hal and Frito, a Hawk-Headed Parrot named Chumbelona aka Chumby, two Lovebirds named Fat Patricia and Aubery, and a Guinea Pig named Gizmo.

Raul has been apart of Cooper City Animal Clinic since he was born. He grew up behind the front desk! Most of our original clients from when we first opened remember him as a baby. His skill is unmatched being that he was raised around veterinary medicine and his father practiced while growing up. Raul has a special needs bulldog named Henry.

Patricia O’Durnin has worked and operated Cooper City Animal Clinic for over 30 years. She was born in Argentina and studied Veterinary Medicine until she moved to the states in 1986. She knew from the jump that her passion was to help animals and she made a lifelong career out of it.

Alex has worked in the veterinary industry for over 10 years. He loves what he does and it shows. Any exotic animal is his specialty. He has a 7 year old pitbull named Kingsley who comes to work with him everyday.

Daisy is our rockstar receptionist who knows all of our clients and patients by first and last name and never forgets a face. She loves working with all the species that we see at Cooper City Animal Clinic. She manages all our Equine and Farm appointments and clientele. She is your go to with any guidance for your four legged family member.

Miranda Faaitiiti was born and raised in southern California. She has been working in vet med for 7 years. She spent the last 4 years working in an emergency animal hospital. In middle of June she moved to Hollywood, Florida with her 2 dogs, cat, son and husband.

Alejandro graduated from UTESA in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1994. He moved to the states and worked under board certified veterinary dentists and strictly practices dentistry technician work under South Florida Veterinarians while he awaits his US Veterinary License.

Gina has been a veterinary technician for over 15 years. She has a strong background in emergency and critical care medicine. She has worked at major Animal Emergency Rooms all throughout South Florida. Gina Shares her home with her three dogs and one cat, who are the loves her of life. On her free time, you can find Gina going on walks, enjoying nature and spending time with her furry babies.

Samantha has been working alongside Dr. Garcia for 8 years. She started her veterinary technician career working strictly with horses and then started working with small animals as well as exotics and farm animals. Samantha is our superstar technician when it comes to phlebotomy and taking radiographs. She loves working on the farms and in her free times she loves to read and go to the beach. Samantha has a special place in her heart for taking care of sick kittens and loves her equine patients.

Agostina has been working in the veterinary industry for over 5 years. She came to her forever home at Cooper City Animal Clinic from working in other hospitals around South Florida. Agostina shares her home with her three cats and yorkie, named Lucas. She has a special place in her heart for her feline and geriatric patients. She is trilingual and loves what she does every day.
